Meet Ashley
AVORA AMG was founded by Ashley, a Bristol-based advanced manufacturing and composites specialist with experience spanning engineering, research and development, technology commercialisation and business development.
Having held technical and management roles at the National Composites Centre (NCC) , Ashley has contributed to a range of exciting R&D projects, applying practical problem-solving, turning ideas into action and collaborating with teams to develop innovative solutions. Most recently, as an SME Engagement Manager, he worked closely with businesses to explore opportunities, develop capabilities and navigate the challenges of commercialising advanced technologies.
Combining hands-on engineering experience with commercial insight and a strong industry network, Ashley established AVORA AMG to connect technical capability with commercial opportunity, helping businesses build the relationships and partnerships needed to grow.
Beyond engineering, Ashley has a lifelong passion for sport and adventure. He sailed with the Great Britain Yacht Racing Academy (GBYRA) and is also a keen snowboarder, downhill mountain biker and motocross rider. He has also competed in paintball at the highest elite level, representing teams in international competition, alongside a wide range of other sporting pursuits. This competitive spirit, practical mindset and drive to push boundaries carry through into his approach to engineering and business.
